Hook a Sista Up Testimonials

Thank you once again for hooking the Sista Girls group up with a day of pampering.  We all went on Saturday for our day at the spa.  It was excellent and very relaxing.  We all were pampered beyond our wildest dreams.  They treated us like royalty and for once we all were able to just relax and not have to worry about what our children were doing.  Thank you so much for showering us with this day of pampering for all of us at Sista Girl we sincerely thank you.  We will be using our lunch certificate soon.  The invitation is still open if you ever wish to join us for a Sista Girl meeting we are taking a short break in February and then we will pick it back up in March.  Thanks again to you and the whole WHUR staff!

Hello everyone. Hope this letter finds you in good spirits.  I am writing this letter to tell you THANK YOU!!  I am a winner of ‘Hook A Sista Up’ (SistaCircle.com).  I won the services of Ms. Ewunike Akpan, Personal Trainer and more.  When Producer Angelique called me on Monday, September 22, 2003 (I remember the exact day) to tell me that TC had read my e-mail and that I was a winner, I did not know that my life would change so drastically.  I am not trying to be dramatic but that telephone call saved me.  As I said in my e-mail to you, I had gone through a rough period but I knew change was coming.  I had prayed for a breakthrough and this telephone call was it.  First, I would like to say ‘Thanks’ to the WHUR Morning Show.  I feel that every morning, at the end of the show, I am right in the middle of your group hug.  Now, I have to specifically Thank three Special Ladies:

TC:  What can I say - your passion to inspire and help women.  Sista Circle must be your calling from God and I must say, how well you accomplish your mission.  Bravo!!  You and Sista Circle address all the issues that women are or should be concerned about.  In addition to the giveaways, you provide other resources to inform women on health, finance,  beauty and more.    Your voice, on the radio or on the web, is truly a Blessing and Highly Appreciated. 

Ewunike Akpan of Lotus Fitness - WOW!  When she called to set up my schedule, her voice was so upbeat and positive.  I thought, wait until she sees me, and the major job facing her.  Let me tell you, I was intimidated.  Here I was at my heaviest in weight and a little nervous, and I met this small stature of a women perfectly toned and in shape, and the first thing she did was give me a hug.  From that point, she was about business.  Ewunike’s approach to fitness is so much more that having the perfect body.  She educates you.  She teaches that every exercise has to be done properly to fulfill its purpose and nutrition is a major factor in healthy living.  Ewunike has taught me how important fitness is to every aspect of your life.  I would never be skinny but Ewunike’s teaching has motivated me continue to strive for a healthy weight and life.  My time with Ewunike has been like a relay race and she has passed the baton to me for me to do my part.  Thank You Ewunike!!!!!!!

And finally, Angelique, thanks for reading my e-mail and seeing that I was worthy of winning.  When I came to the radio show for the gift certificates, you were so nice and kind.   

Throughout this process of writing my initial e-mail, receiving the phone call live at work, picking up the prize or starting the exercise program, there was never a time that TC, Ewunike or Angelique showed pity or felt sorry for me, they just wanted to help.  People are saying, ‘Angela, you look like you are toning down’ or ‘you are looking different’ and I think, they see the outside change but I know the change that has occurred on the inside.    Even if I didn't lose a pound, I have gained a lot.  As I was writing this letter, tears are falling because I know how grateful I am in my heart, and I pray that my words are truly expressing what I am feeling.   May God continue to Bless each and everyone of you because you are truly a blessing to others.
